1. Information We Collect

When you use Pond Manager, we collect only what is necessary to operate the app:

• Account information — your name, email address, and a hashed (encrypted) password.
• Pond and farm data — pond names, sizes, locations, fish stock records, feed logs, medical logs, expenses, harvests, and growth records you enter manually.
• Worker accounts — names and login credentials of workers you add to your account.
• Location (GPS) — only if you choose to pin GPS coordinates to a pond. This is optional and used solely to display local weather information for that pond. Location is never collected in the background.
• Device information — basic technical data (app version, device OS) collected automatically to help diagnose crashes.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To sync your pond data securely across your devices.
• To allow workers you authorize to log data on your behalf.
• To display weather information for ponds where you have pinned a GPS location.
• To recover your account if you forget your password.

3. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored in a secure PostgreSQL database (Neon). All communication between the app and our servers uses HTTPS encryption. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt and are never stored in plain text. Authentication tokens are stored securely on your device using the platform's encrypted keystore.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.

We use the following services to operate the app:

• Neon (neon.tech) — database hosting. Your data resides on their servers under their security policies.
• Open-Meteo — weather data fetched using GPS coordinates you optionally pin. No personal account data is sent.

5. Location Data

Location access is requested only when you tap "Pin GPS" on a specific pond. The app does not track your location in the background. GPS coordinates are stored with that pond record and used only to fetch weather data. You can clear pinned coordinates at any time from the Settings screen.

6. Your Rights

• Access — you can view all your data within the app at any time.
• Correction — you can edit any data you have entered.
• Deletion — you can delete individual ponds, records, and worker accounts from within the app. To delete your entire account and all associated data, contact us at the email below.
• Export — your data can be viewed and managed through the Reports section of the app.

7. Children's Privacy

Pond Manager is designed for adult farmers and aquaculture professionals. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13 years of age.

8. Changes to This Policy

If we make significant changes to this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
